Set yourself up for a fast launch. If you have the items below ready, most suppliers can complete onboarding in just a few days; without them, it may take 2–3 weeks. For more detail on the full onboarding process, see the in-depth checklist below.

3+ high-quality images per product minimum 1000×1000 px

Detailed specs for each product such as name, model/MPN, materials, dimensions, wholesale cost

Dropship capability from a warehouse in your selling region

Legal business info & IDs e.g., Business Registration Number

Banking & tax details for your selling region

Order management know how you’ll manage orders, print labels, and update inventory, including inventory replenishment lead times

Detailed Onboarding Requirements

Product & Catalog Readiness

Assortment fit: Ensure your items fall within supported categories. Items excluded from Wayfair: perishables, certain electronics, and medical devices. For further information on what we sell, visit here

Images: Provide 3+ clear images per product, 1000×1000 px or higher.

Specifications: Prepare accurate details such as product name, model / manufacturer part number, supplier part number, product classification, materials, product options, product dimensions, weight, carton dimensions, care, wholesale cost, and product warnings (when applicable).

Warehousing & Fulfillment

Dropship ready: Provide at least one warehouse or 3PL warehouse address in your selling region.

Capabilities: Confirm you can pack/label to industry standards

Third-party facilities: Some 3PL fulfillment warehouses may not support direct shipping—verify capability if applicable.

Payments, Banking & Tax

Banking: Provide an account that can receive payouts in the selling market’s regional currency (e.g., USD, CAD, EUR, GBP).

Tax IDs: Supply tax registrations tied to your shipping location(s), where required.

Operations & Integration

How you’ll work: Choose Portal (manual) or EDI/API (automated) for orders, inventory, and tracking.

Inventory updates: Set a realistic cadence (e.g., as orders arrive, daily, weekly) and indicate replenishment lead times.

Multi-warehouse: If using multiple nodes, confirm you can manage per-warehouse inventory and order routing.

Labels: Decide how you’ll print shipping labels, either downloaded from Wayfair or through your own systems.

Returns & Contacts

Returns: For customer returned items, provide a return-to address or enroll in Wayfair-managed returns (availability varies by market).

Contacts: You will have the option to add now or in the future other contacts at your company for specific topics Wayfair may communicate about including Customer Service, Returns, Product Info, Accounting, EDI/API, Escalations, Replacement Parts, Cancellations, Order Management, and Warehouse Management.

Final Steps to Go Live

Add your first product starting with in-stock bestsellers to build momentum, then expand your catalog for maximum visibility.

Upload positive inventory so products can be purchased.

Account review - while you are completing the above tasks Wayfair will verify your business information

To note: We require you to provide a certificate of insurance as evidence of your insurance coverage. This helps us ensure you have the right financial support for your products, as outlined in your Supplier Partnership Agreement. You are expected to provide Wayfair with a certificate of insurance as soon as possible after onboarding as well as throughout your partnership when requested by Wayfair.
